If you are dissatisfied with your breast size and suffer a lack of confidence and self-esteem, there are a number of surgical choices.

Breast augmentation is one of the most commonly requested cosmetic surgical procedures in Sydney. Breast augmentation surgery involves the placement of an implant either in front or behind the pectoral muscle creating a smooth and natural looking increase in breast size.

Breast augmentation surgery takes between 1-2 hours and does not require an overnight hospital stay. It can be performed in conjunction with a breast lift and is routinely performed with other cosmetic surgeries.

We provide breast augmentation in the Sydney area and though have predominately serviced those in the regions of Sydney, Lower North Shore, Eastern Suburbs, are available to service all residents.

The total cost for breast augmentation in Sydney including all surgical and aftercare fees, cost of implants and hospital fees is variable depending on a multitude of factors. Your consultation with our Dr will discuss this as well as all the ins-and-outs of the breast enhancement procedure. To ensure you choose the best surgeon in Sydney for your breast enhancement surgery take the time to do thorough research and book a face-to-face consult with Luxe Cosmetic Clinic.

Luxe uses 3D imaging technology to help his patients decide on the best breast augmentation and exactly which shape and size of implant is best suited to their body shape.

BREAST IMPLANTS TYPES

Breast implants available in Sydney for breast enlargement surgery include saline filled or cohesive silicone-gel filled and are produced in round and teardrop (anatomical) shapes.

SALINE-FILLED

Saline implants have a silicone outer shell that is filled with a medical-grade saltwater solution. During the enlargement we fill the breast implant through a valve.

COHESIVE SILICONE GEL-FILLED

The preferred breast implants used in breast enhancement across Sydney and Australia are cohesive silicone-gel filled. Due to the silicone’s consistency, it minimises the risk of leakage problems after enlargement surgery. They generally feel softer to the touch and more like natural breasts than saline implants.

SIZE, SHAPES AND FORMS

Your body shape and personal preferences are the key deciding factors in selecting the best breast implant size for your enhancement surgery. In your consultation with us, your desired breast enhancement size is discussed. Before and after photographs from our completed breast augmentation procedures can also help you to select what enlargement shape is right for you.

Breast implants generally take two forms: round or teardrop (anatomical) shaped.

Round, depending on their fill, offer a defined round shape or assume more of a teardrop form when the patient is upright. They tend to provide more upper half breast fullness than anatomical implants.

Anatomical implants demand a greater degree of accuracy in positioning during the enlargement procedure. If they shift after enhancement surgery, the shape may be distorted.

Anatomical breast implants can provide greater projection in proportion to the size of the base, making them particularly suitable for women with little natural tissue or those who desire a lift – particularly in reconstructive circumstances.

INCISION SITES

Our preferred incision methods for breast enlargement are inframammary and transaxillary. They offer more predictable results with better exposure and placement of the implant when compared to other incision types.

Inframammary incision type allows the breast implant to be placed in a precise pocket formation and bleeding can be controlled more easily. The scar is generally well hidden.

The transaxillary incision is made in the natural crease of the armpit and a channel is fashioned down to the breast. The scar is virtually invisible in the armpit fold and lack of tension generally makes for more straightforward healing.

BREAST IMPLANT PLACEMENT

Placement of the implant can help determine the end result of breast augmentation, so it’s important we discuss the options available as well as the suitability of each option for your individual body type.

SUBGLANDULAR

A pocket is created between the tissue and the pectoral muscle, the breast implant is positioned in front of the muscle. This enlargement procedure is faster and may be more comfortable for the patient than submuscular placement.

SUBMUSCULAR

The breast implant is placed under the pectoralis major muscle with most of the implant residing under the muscle. This position creates the most natural-looking contour. There is also decreased chance of visible and palpable implant edges or rippling.

DUAL PLANE

The breast implant is placed partially beneath the pectoral muscle in the upper pole, while the lower half of the implant is in the subglandular plane. This position involves more complex enhancement surgery but minimises the rippling and edge effect in thin patients while avoiding abnormal contours in the lower half.
